Living out the gospel of jesus christ
By supporting our neighbors in need
By supporting our neighbors in need
Every neighbor who comes seeking help at our SVDP Severna Park facility is interviewed by our volunteer counselors irrespective of their religious affiliation, in order to determine their individual circumstances, what assistance is needed, and what can be provided.
Food and non-grocery assistance (e.g. laundry detergent, paper products, and personal hygiene goods) is provided based on the size of the family or household, special dietary requirements, and their personal preference depending on existing inventory.
Financial assistance may be requested for help with evictions, utility cut-offs, and medical needs. Neighbors seeking help with evictions and utility shut offs must show proof of an eviction notice signed by a judge or in the case of utility assistance, proof of a pending shut-off.
